About The Tea Rooms
Hilltop was once a typical post war smallholding, one of several in this area at that time. In those days many people found a welcome at Hilltop, missionaries, students, foreign visitors, friends, friends of friends and total strangers. Everyone seemed to turn up and my parents always served tea at 10 o’clock in the morning and 3 o’clock every afternoon!
Today we still like to keep it simple… you won’t find extravagant descriptions or overblown statements but we do make most things ourselves, much from our own produce, and offer you a warm welcome!
We have a shop next door to the tea rooms where you can buy a range of homemade and locally sourced produce and gifts. Nearby there’s a local independent nursery.
